Source hierarchy
We verify every factual claim against the following source tiers, in order of preference:
- Official sources: Steam store pages, publisher/developer websites, official social media, and in-game data directly observable by players
- Established sources: Wikipedia, major gaming outlets (IGN, PC Gamer, etc.), verified reviews from recognized publications
- Community sources: Steam community guides, Reddit discussions, wiki collaborations — used with explicit caution and attribution
Fact verification process
- Before publishing, we attempt to verify each claim against at least one source in the Official or Established tier
- If a claim cannot be verified, we either omit it or clearly label it as unconfirmed
- We never fabricate game mechanics, statistics, prices, availability, or character data
- We record the source and review date for each verified claim
Content originality
- All content is written as original synthesis
- We do not copy or closely paraphrase competitor sites, official manuals, or other guides
- We may quote brief passages for reference, with proper attribution
Update policy
- Pages are reviewed and updated when significant game patches or DLC release
- Core facts (release date, platforms, price) are verified quarterly
- Each page displays a visible "last updated" date and source list
Corrections
If you find an error, please contact us via the Contact page with a link to a verifiable source. We review corrections on a rolling basis and aim to address factual errors within 48 hours.
No pay-for-play
We do not accept payment for favorable coverage, placement, or inclusion in our guides. All content is editorially independent.
