Progress safeguard

Missing Continue after a crash?

Protect the remaining evidence first. EA has published a quit-timing safeguard, but no universal recovery method for a deleted save.

OFFICIAL SAFEGUARD

Quit only after control returns to Hawks.

After transitioning back to the hub, wait a few seconds after you regain control of Hawks before quitting the game.

EA says quitting while you are not in direct control of Hawks can, in some cases, prevent the game from finishing its save. This is a prevention step for future exits. It is not a recovery tool for a save that is already missing.

NO CONFIRMED RECOVERY

If Continue is gone

Stop before creating a replacement campaign or making unnecessary save changes. Capture the title screen, platform, time, last mission, mode, and crash point. Check the platform's official cloud-save status or ask support before forcing a new synchronization.

PLAYER-REPORTED

What players are seeing

Fresh PC, PlayStation, and Xbox reports describe Continue disappearing after crashes during mission completion, extraction, or a final cutscene. These reports establish a serious repeated symptom, not a single proven cause.

SAFE RESPONSE ORDER

Minimize the chance of overwriting evidence.

  1. 01

Do not start a replacement run yet

A new campaign may create new local or cloud state. If the missing run matters, pause and document the current title screen first.

  2. 02

    Record the exact event

Note the platform, account, difficulty/mode, mission, Cycle, approximate time, whether the crash occurred before or after the result screen, and whether Continue disappeared immediately.

  3. 03

Check only official platform save controls

Review the sync status and timestamps exposed by Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, or the launcher. Do not upload, overwrite, or delete a copy merely because one timestamp looks newer. If the interface offers a conflict choice you do not understand, stop and use platform support.

  4. 04

    Report the loss

Send EA the details and screenshots. Make clear that the issue is not merely a crash: the Continue option or entire campaign is missing. Include whether custom Character Databank entries remained, because one Xbox report observed that distinction.

  5. 05

Use the official exit safeguard going forward

When a playable run returns to the hub, wait until Hawks is directly controllable, then wait several seconds before quitting. Do not quit during transitions or another non-Hawks control segment.

FAQ

Save-loss questions.

01

How should I quit Zero Company safely?

EA says to transition back to the hub, regain direct control of Hawks, wait a few seconds, and then quit. Avoid quitting during a period when you are not directly controlling Hawks.

02

Can a deleted Ironman or Beskar save be recovered?

No universal recovery method was confirmed by EA in the sources reviewed for this guide. Platform cloud-save or support checks may reveal another copy, but they are not a guaranteed recovery.

03

Should I keep launching the game after Continue disappears?

Avoid actions that could overwrite or synchronize a newer empty state until you understand the platform save status. Document the screen and contact the platform or EA support for account-specific guidance.

04

Does this prove Beskar mode causes save deletion?

No. Beskar and Ironman players face greater consequences because they lack an ordinary fallback, but player reports do not establish that the mode itself is the root cause.
